There are many losers in the world, though
this might sound harsh, every city in every country has men and women who live
in mediocrity. They are full of unfulfilled dreams and they desire to win but
know not how. What is keeping them from winning is not because they are not
born winners.
Sometimes, who you know make succeeding in
any field easier but they are not the key factors. It is not lack of
intelligence either. While some may have greater mental capability than others,
winning or losing is not solely dependent on this.
So, why do we have just about 20 percent at
the top in every human endeavor and about 50 percent at the bottom of ladder of
life? Who is winner and who is a loser in life? What is the difference between
winners and losers in life? What factors separate winners from losers in the
society? How do winners and losers think? What are the benefits of winning and
losing? How can a loser become a winner? Is it possible for a winner to turn
around and lose? These questions will be used to examine the thoughts, ways of
life, priorities, practices and the potentials of some winners and losers in
life. Joseph, Japheth, Ruth and Esther in the Bible might never have been
associated with winners in their respective societies. Others like Albert
Einstein, Samuel Ajayi Crowther, Barrack Obama, Nelson Mandela, bill Gates, Ben
Carson and Philip Emegwali were all expected to be losers in their societies
going by the circumstances of their birth and the challenges they face in life
have little effect on winning or losing. The real key is how you handle the
current situations. Make the most of life situation, you become a winner.
Becoming a winner however, requires effort.
It does not come through wishful thinking. It is some thing you determine to
achieve.
The question is what does it really mean to
be a winner or a loser? Different societies or schools of thought have their
own views about winning and losing in life.
Winners and losers are measured by certain
parameters such as accumulation of wealth, academic carrels, attainment of
certain positions, handling of challenging situations, realization of goals,
some achievements or feats in life imply put, winning is succeeding in life
while losing is failure to succeed.
